The contents including:
1.Introduction,
2.Soil morphology and description methods,
3.Diagnostic horizons and soil characteristics,
4. 12 Soil Orders of Soil Taxonomy system,
5. Visiting the soil museum of NTU,
6.Soil micromorphological characteristics,
7.Soil genesis (pedogenic processes),
8.Soil monolith and soil interpretation,
9.World Reference base (WRB) (FAO Soil classification system),
10.Soil Survey Methods and Techniques,
11.Soil mapping and soil survey reports,
12.soil interpretation
13.One day’s field trip to visit the pedons of volcanic soils (Melanudand and Hapludand), Andic Dystrudept, Paleudult, Typic Hapludult and Plinthitic Ultisol, sandy and fluvial Entisol in Northern Taiwan, and
14.CD-Rom of Soil Taxonomy and WRB system for reference. |
課程目標 |
1.To understand how to make a description of soil morphology,
2.To undersatnd how to classify a soil based on Soil Taxonomy and WRB system, and
3.To understand the soil pedogenic processes, and
4. To have an experience to make a soil survey in teh field. |
